I am passionate about both wild and domestic horses and practice Anna Twinney's Reach Out To Horses holistic methods of training - this translates to balanced, energy-conscious, leadership-based (not dominance-based), non-predatory techniques.  I have sought out experiences and training which have allowed me to develop my specialty in untouched and highly sensitive horses, specifically mustangs or wild horses.

My path in life has been one of many teachers and themes. Horses, visionaries, seekers; humility, authenticity, congruence, empathy, intuition, and presence are all common threads among the people and life experiences that have manifested as my path unfolds before me.  What resonates most with me and ultimately led me into professional horsemanship is the horses' physical and non-physical abilities to guide people in the practice of presence, authenticity, and alignment with Spirit.

With my holistic approach, we will first assess what solutions can come from management and nutrition adjustments and a review of physical, emotional, and social health. Then, we can look at what needs to be addressed through training.

I have a strong practical veterinary background and understanding of equine physiology, evolutionary conformation, behavior, body language, and learning patterns.  I also incorporate energetic connection, visualization, acupressure, and many alternative modalities during training to expand my capabilities and connection with horses.

As a third degree black belt in Taekwondo and certified instructor, I have also assimilated my martial arts training into my own teaching practice: what I call Mal ui gil, “The Horse’s Way”. I bring my martial arts background bear in my work with horses and people through teaching the art of body and energy awareness and control, mental focus, and emotional responsibility.

If you have landed at Earth and Equine and are seeking alignment with your horse on some issue, need professional training for a mustang, or want to learn more about how martial arts principles make us better horse-people, know that you have landed here for a distinct and perfectly-timed purpose.  Get ready - I will challenge you to seek your own aligned path as we work together with the horses.

Reach Out To Horses Certified Trainer Program

Hands-down, my greatest (human) inspiration and most trusted mentor, as well as a treasured personal friend, is the creator and founder of Reach Out To Horses (ROTH), Anna Twinney.  As a lifelong learner, I am blessed to have become certified through Anna's Trainer’s program.  Anna and I met in the year 2000 at Monty Roberts International Learning Center, where she was the Head Instructor.  She has been my mentor ever since, and I am proud to be the first (and currently, the ONLY) Certified ROTH Trainer in California, and will soon be a Certified Instructor. You can jump to the Reach Out To Horses website via the links provided on my Resources page.
